May Close Reading Comprehension Passages | 5th Grade & 6th Grade

A book with ten close reading passages focused on key events in May or famous figures that were either born or died in the month. Each activity has an informational text with comprehension and grammar questions followed by an extension task, followed by a crossword puzzle and wordsearch activity.

The NO PREP reading comprehension activities are perfect for students in fifth grade or sixth grade. Students will learn about world history whilst developing their comprehension skills.

• The famous Swedish activist, Greta Thunberg, who received an Honorary Doctor of Law from the University of British Colombia on the 31st May 2021.
• The nemesis of the Roman Empire, Hannibal, who famously crossed the Alps with his army which included elephants in May 218 BC.
